Those aren't humans inside the rocket-powered cars of Rocket League. Those are eroticism (2015), vimeoweird egg people.
SEE ALSO: We obviously need these Nintendo-themed 'Rocket League' cars in 'Mario Kart'A new autumn-themed arena is coming to Rocket League later this month, and it includes an interesting detail that confirms the Rocket Leagueuniverse is populated by egg people. Here's a screenshot of a billboard found outside the arena, courtesy of the Rocket Leaguewebsite:

It's a billboard advertising a band named Mitchell and the Gang, who will be performing live at Cellardoor (off of Route 7). Mitchell and the Gang are not human. They are eggs.
The world is run by egg people.
The cars are driven by egg people.
Since Rocket Leaguereleased in July 2015, the arena seating seen outside of the game's various playing fields have been filled with bouncing, egg-shaped beings. It turns out these aren't just lazy renderings of human spectators. Those are egg people.

This revelation leads to many questions.
Is this a post-human world where eggs have gained sentience?
How are these egg people playing instruments and driving cars without arms?
What do the seats inside the cars look like?
Are these egg people as fragile as your typical chicken egg?
Do they reproduce with each other or are they hatched out of an animal?
How are they growing facial hair?
