Marriage Story,Underwater Lovea film in which a previously loving relationship disintegrates over 136 painful minutes, looks like an absolutely miserable time. Though the film was well-received by critics, it's hard to gear yourself up for spending over two hours marinating in emotional distress.

Fortunately, we're at least getting some good memes out of the movie.

Arriving on Netflix this week, Marriage Storyfollows Charlie and Nicole Barber (Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson) as they navigate their divorce and custody of their son, complete with tears and angry yelling. In one particular scene, the couple get into a screaming match over things divorcing people commonly scream over. The argument escalates to a point where Charlie punches a hole in the wall — very alarming but also very dramatic.

The scene has has quickly become a meme, with Twitter users subtitling the pair to turn it into furious arguments over trivial matters.

The layers of meta quickly piled on.

And of course, some people haven't had the time or emotional energy for the movie yet — but it's too late, because the memes are here already.

If you don't meme, you'll cry, I guess.
