BBC Breakfasthosts Rachel Burden and SpainJohn Kay gave heroic climber Leslie Binns a beautiful introduction on Saturday's broadcast -- except Leslie Binns wasn't actually there.

Binns, who rescued a woman who collapsed on Mount Everest, was set to appear on the show ahead of his next climb. But when Burden and Kay introduced him -- with much fanfare, we might add -- the man in the guest's chair turned out to be Dr. Todd Landman, a political commentator.

"I think you've got the wrong guest, sir," Landman said.

Fortunately, because they're British, everyone had a good, awkward laugh about it. "I have many heroic stories to tell you, but not involving Everest," Landman said.

Fair enough.

This isn't the BBC's first case of mistaken identity. In 2006, Guy Goma, a computer technician visiting the BBC for a job interview, was mistakenly interviewed in place of tech journalist Guy Kewney.

Oh, and they found Leslie Binns.
