Sonic Frontiersoffered exciting open-world exploration, while the most recent Sonic adventure, Sonic Superstars, serves up great classic gameplay that feels like a fun throwback to the platforming franchise's glory days on the Sega Genesis. This side-scrolling platformer has you playing as Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, and Amy Rose as you work together to take down the nefarious Dr. Eggman, par for the course for a Sonic game. Eggman has allies Fang the Hunter and Trip the Sungazer under his control, and Sonic and the crew have to find seven Chaos Emeralds to thwart the evil gang.

It's high-octane, fast-paced action across 12 unique zones with 26 levels and a number of special stages that take advantage of each character's unique abilities. It's one of the Sonic games that's gotten closer to what made the original games so great, and even if it isn't perfect, it's still some pretty great fun for $20 for Sonic fans. So if that sounds like a (Sonic) blast, you might want to go ahead and grab a copy while it's this cheap.
