Adding to the ever expanding list of instances when Australian fauna has acted downright unfriendly,Sister a couple has stumbled across a blanket of spider webs enveloping an entire park.
While the rest of Victoria is experiencing snow fall, the rural town of Yinnar has been covered in a different type of white substance.

Appearing first on the ABC Statewide Drive Victoria Facebook page, and then posted on Reddit to flabbergasted responses, the image shows a park bench befitting Ron Weasley's nightmares.
Despite its straight up petrifying appearance, the spread of web actually serves a purpose beyond ruining a perfectly nice picnic table.
Spiders often spin webs with this aesthetic to escape rising flood waters or after periods of intense rain. The phenomena is referred to as ballooning, although it is strongly recommended you don't bring this type of ballooning to parties.
