“I’ve enjoyed deconstructing my own image quite a bit over the years, but to have the chance to do it with a global megastar like Diplo who's letting us to do something fun and ridiculous that few people have the balls to allow is crazy," Van Der Beek said in a statement. "To get to work with this creative team within a VICELAND aesthetic is fun on a whole new level.”
Van Der Beek memorably sent up his own image playing an exaggerated version of himself on Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23.
Viceland, which launched in 2016, features series focusing on music, food, technology, sex, fashion and other topics related to culture.
The channel is overseen by Spike Jonze, a longtime VICE partner and creative director.
