The public has been calling for Park's impeachment, and that demand has been mounting. She comes to the end of her five-year term in February next year, and unless she steps down, she has constitutional immunity.

The weekend rallies have stretched from midday to late night, and have drawn participants from further out, in suburbs and farmlands to the capital.
