It was a tough week.

Between the reports of horrific conditions at the U.S.-Mexico border and Trump's bizarre anti-immigration event where he autographed photos of murder victims, keeping up with the news has been so emotionally taxing. Staying informed is part of being an active member of society, but it can be rough sometimes.

The only good thing on the internet this week: the moon blob meme.

"What is a moon blob?" you wonder. We don't actually know what this meme's called -- or where it came from, though it first began appearing on Twitter in mid-June -- but the best way to describe it is, well, a moon blob. This shadowy little figure hovering in your Twitter timeline is made of moon emojis that come together to form a terrifyingly adorable blob creature.
