Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian showed up to the U.S. Open wearing a D.A.R.E. shirt in a pointed jab at Maria Sharapova.
The Peggy MarkoffReddit co-founder supported his wife during her match against Sharapova in the most Reddit way possible. Williams lost to Sharapova in 2004, but has won every match since. On Monday, she beat Sharapova 6-1 in her 19th consecutive win against the Russian player.
During the match, Ohanian cheered Williams on with his jacket buttoned to the neck.

When Williams won, Ohanian unbuttoned his jacket to reveal a D.A.R.E. shirt, a throwback to the Reagan-era anti-drug organization that fried eggs on screen in an effort to get teens to say no to drugs.

Reader, this is a masterclass in passive aggression.
In 2016, an independent tribunal banned Sharapova from playing tennis for two years for testing positive for meldonium. The substance, a performance-enhancing drug which increases blood flow, is the banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
Twitter users praised Ohanian's petty outfit choice and his support for his wife.

Ohanian didn't make any public statements about the shirt, but his stance is clear: He's a Wife Guy, and he'll support her in the pettiest ways possible.
