In the message, which Gomez shared on Instagram, the singer opened up about certain aspects of her life that have been filling her with uncertainty.

"...I act on a moment or fear something that hasn't happened. I'm stagnant, I stay still and don't just sit with myself first and ask 'is this where I am, wholeheartedly?'" she wrote. "I've always told the truth. I'm always true to my word, I've shown who I am but I need to rethink some areas of my life creatively and personally."

Though it is unclear what inspired Gomez, who had a birthday on Friday, to open up to her 91.5 million followers this way, she reassured fans that her audience in Indonesia was phenomenal.
