Numerous journalists have said they were forced to leave the floor of the Republican National Convention after a commotion broke out around an attempt to by an anti-Donald Trump group to call for a vote of the rules of the convention.
Fox News reporter Chad Pergram said his crew was forced to leave with no explanation.

Pergram's claims were backed up by Fox News host Brett Baier, who said the Secret Service had been involved in removing the media.

MSNBC reporter Kelly O'Donnell was told by security to leave while in the middle of a live segment.

Sam Alcoff, a senior producer for Democracy Now!also said that all media had been forced to leave the floor.

Reporters have already had a difficult time covering the Trump campaign, having been subjected to various restrictions and occasionally physical violence.
Trump has also strong-armed much of the media, blacklisting a variety of outlets including the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, the Des Moines Register, Politicoand BuzzFeed.
Those outlets are at the convention since credentials for the event are not controlled by Trump's campaign.
It didn't appear that journalists had been entirely forced from the arena, however. Bloomberg's Matt Negrin captured the excitement from the scene.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump had clearly been keeping an eye on CNN's coverage, taking time to express his displeasure with the channel on Twitter.
