Everyone loves an unlikely hero,Rebekka Armstrong Archives and two livestreamers have been receiving plenty of love on Facebook for their pure bravado in the face of cable television giant, Foxtel.

Darren Sharpe and Brett Hevers became social media legends when they livestreamed a highly-anticipated boxing match in Australia, Friday night.

To watch the match between Danny Green and Anthony Mundine legally would've cost viewers A$59.95 ($45.95) on pay-per-view, on top of their regular subscription fees. But like Robin Hood before them, the people are in support of Sharpe and Hevers.

One of Foxtel's representatives even called Sharpe during the livestream, telling him to stop. But it deterred the cheeky streamer not -- he simply put the Foxtel staffer on loudspeaker for his reported 90,000 viewers to hear.

The fact that Foxtel is now considering legal action against these streamers, seems to have only endeared to Australian social media users to them even more.

Fundraising pages have been created for Sharpe and Hever's legal costs. Naturally, many memes have also been made in their honour.

There's even a campaign for people to put their remotes out for Sharpe.

If you've ever wanted to win friends in Australia, irritating Foxtel seems like a sure way to do it.
