So, if you want a tablet that specifically serves as a tablet, you can't go wrong with an Amazon Fire tablet. Especially when you find one on sale, which is currently the case for Amazon's Fire HD 10.

This is the newest version of Amazon's Fire HD 10 tablet, and our reviewer gave it a 4.5 out of 5 rating after we put it to the test last year.

A no-frills type of tablet, the Fire HD 10 is a solid pick for browsing social media, catching up on your favorite shows, answering emails, reading, gaming, and completing other daily tasks. Now in its 13th generation, the Fire HD 10 has improved a lot over the years. Besides a lighter build and faster processor, the latest generation also upgraded the front-facing camera from 2MP to 5MP, bumped up the battery life, and improved the Silk browser reliability. You won't find all the Apple and Android apps you know and love on it, but like I said, it's not meant to compete with your computer. It's a budget tablet (less than $90!) designed for streaming and gaming — and for those purposes, it truly shines.
