Groups have Nikki Nova Archivesbeen drawn for the first leg of the 2016 League of LegendsWorld Championship, which kicks off with round robins at the end of September.

The 16 qualifying teams have been split into four groups of four based on their seeding from regional spring and summer seasons. Only the top two teams in each group will move onto the quarterfinals in October.

Here are the groups for the start of the tournament:

Rox Tigers -- South Korean Summer Split champions -- are the number one seed in group A, going up against Europe's champions G2 Esports, North America's second team Counter Logic Gaming and CIS wildcard team Albus Nox Luna. G2 Esports were the only major region's champions that did not get a top seed for the group stage due to their spotty performance in 2016, specifically at the Mid-Season Invitational.

Group B

  • Flash Wolves

  • SK Telecom T1

  • Team I May

  • Cloud9

Heading up the top of group B are Tawain/Hong Kong/Macao Summer Split champions Flash Wolves. They'll be facing off against South Korea's second team and 2015 Worlds winners SK Telecom T1, China's regional qualifiers Team I May and North America's regional qualifiers Cloud9.

Group C

  • Edward Gaming

  • AHQ Esports Club

  • H2K Gaming

  • INTZ Esports

Group C will see China's Summer Split winners Edward Gaming fighting for a spot in the quarterfinals against TW/HK/MO's regional qualifiers AHQ Esports Club, Europe's second team H2K Gaming and Brazilian wildcard team INTZ Esports.

Group D

  • Team SoloMid

  • Royal Never Give Up

  • Samsung Galaxy

  • Splyce

Team SoloMid tops group D as North America's Summer Split champions and will be battling China's second team Royal Never Give Up, South Korea's regional qualifiers Samsung Galaxy and Europes regional qualifiers Splyce.

Group play begins Thursday, Sept. 29 and runs through Oct. 9. All the action will be going down live in San Francisco and on Twitch. Each stage of Worlds takes place at a different city across the United States, ending with the finals Oct. 29 in Los Angeles.
